Liinivahe (Liinivahe)
‘Between the lines’, the ‘lines’ it’s between being 1. liin and 2. liin south of, and 3. liin, 4. liin and 5. liin north of, the branch railway line serving the nearby Russo-Baltic Shipyard (1911-18ish).
Liipri (Liiper)
Sleeper, crosstie (railway). Derived from the English ‘sleeper’ which, interestingly, travelled well, becoming chulipa in Brazil (see Vocabulário Popular de Porto Velho by Beto Bertagna & Simon Hamilton). Renaming, along with Ränduri, of former Raudtee.
Liivalao (Liivaladu)
Sand depot. Not too far from the sand and concrete materials group. See Liiva.
