Muhu (Muhu)
Island between mainland Estonia and Saaremaa. Also muhk:muhu, bump, swelling (chilblains are külmamuhud) and, for those who still remember them, bubonic boil, but one hopes the street-naming committee did not have quite so much imagination. Part of an Estonian island group, see Saaremaa.
Moskva (Moskva)
Moscow. Street existed in potentia since 1981, over which another street, Saaremaa puiestee was laid in 1986 and extended northwards to Narva. In October 2024, for reasons purely related to street-naming conventions, the 250-m northern stretch of the Moskva / Saaremaa hybrid had its Moskva designation officially revoked on 2024-10-15. Not wishing to spill oil here but, as the argument goes, if a street is all part of a humanly-recognizable single unit within the same District or not, there is no reason for 2 names.
