Rändrahnu (Rändrahn)
Erratic boulder, aka glacial erratic, aka erratic, and known by various names in Estonian too: hiidrahn (giant rock), rändkivi (shorestone, beachstone), suurkivi (big stone), etc. Street named after the numerous erratics on the Pirita shoreline. The largest erratic boulder in Estonia is the Ehalkivi (twilight rock, see Eha) in the sea at Letipea (///scenes.milling.escapes). It has a volume of 930 m3 and weighs 2500 tonnes, but it’s in the water so easier to lift. Said to owe its name to its size concealing the setting sun. The German name for these boulders is Findling (foundling – understandable). For other erratic-themed locations, see Suurekivi.
Võrgukivi (Võrgukivi)
Sinker, small stone used as weight for fishing-net, or large stone used as anchor, lit. netstone. See Poru, see also Kivi. Interestingly, there is a Võrgukuuride kivi (lit. ‘net-sheds’ rock, at ///download.shopper.remodels) about 2.5 km SW raising the question again (see Lõuka) as to possible catalysts for starting street-name groups. Part of a fishing-tackle group, see also Västra. For other erratic-themed locations, see Hallikivi.
Valge (Adj.)
White. Street names referred to by an adjective (occasionally an adverb or attributive) are in the nominative (see Introduction and Kollane). Name given (2001) to the NE stretch of former Lasnamäe, after the Tallinna Alumine Tuletorn (Tallinn lower lighthouse), visibility 12 nautical miles, sometimes known as Katharinenthal Front Light, but correctly as Tallinn leading-line front lighthouse, formerly known as Valge majakas, or white lighthouse, located at ///monitors.slides.harps. Today it is painted an increasingly-fading brick-red where the previous red lighthouse Majaka is painted black and white (sorta). For other lighthouses, see Virbi.
Tulekivi (Tulekivi)
Flint (lit. firestone). Part of a fire, fire-making and fireplace group, see Tuleraua. See also Kivi. This tulekivi is not an erratic boulder but there is one of that name, the largest (aka Sihi Suurkivi), in the Lemmiku kael (Lemmiku isthmus or tombolo) blockfield on Aegna. See ///loft.drama.reshapes. For other erratic-themed locations, see Võrgukivi.
